MCD carries out demolition work in seven more properties

New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) A day after the Government notified the new mixed land use policy for Delhi, the MCD today carried out demolition work in seven properties, taking the total to 1,842 since December 19.

According to the MCD Action Taken report, four of the seven properties were residential and the rest commercial.

The report said while two commercial properties were fully destroyed and one commercial and four residential properties were partially demolished.

''Of the grand total so far 929 properties were residential and the rest commercial,'' it said.

The MCD, in compliance with court order, today sealed 69 properties misusing their premises for commercial purposes.

Maximum number of properties-- 28 -- were sealed in Shahdara North followed by 22 in Shahdara South.
