Ganguly can be back for World Cup: Dravid
New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) The Sourav Ganguly issue was blown out of proportion and it's not end of all roads for the southpaw who can make a comeback before the World Cup if he continues to perform well in domestic cricket, said Team India skipper Rahul Dravid.
In an interview with CNN-IBN channel, Dravid was of the view that the public outcry over his predecessor's axing was blown out of proportion but he did not rule out a comeback for Ganguly.
'I mean as long as you are playing well in domestic cricket, you always have a place for you,'' he said.
On the controversy over Ganguly's stripping off captaincy and then eventual axing from the side, Dravid said it was because people in the country get passionate about cricket.
''We love our cricketers (in India)-- be it Dravid, Ganguly or (Anil) Kumble. We develop a personal relationship with them,'' he explained.
