Former Haryana CM Bansi Lal passes away

New Delhi, Mar 28: Former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal died tonight at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here of heart failure.

He was 78.

He had been admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital a few days back where he breathed his last tonight. He is survived by his wife, son Ranbir Singh Mahindra and four daughters.

A UNI report from Chandigarh said the body of Mr Bansi Lal would be taken to his home town Bhiwani, in Haryana, early morning tomorrow for cremation.

The Haryana Government has declared a holiday tomorrow as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
