Electricity Board bifurcated into different corporations

Ranchi, Mar 29 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today finally decided to bifurcate the state Electrity Board for better services to the people.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Arjun Munda.

It had decided to create Jharkhand Electricity Transmission Corporation, Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation and Jharkhand Electricity Development Corporation, according to an official spokesman.

The Board, however, would remain as main body.
