New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) Delhi Police today denied charges levelled by Municipal Corporation of Delhi that forces were not made available to help implement the Supreme Court order to seal commercial properties in residential areas of the capital.

It would be incorrect to say that the city police did not make available its personnel on MCD's request to undertake the drive to seal 'misuser' properties across Delhi, Delhi Police said.

Force was made available whereever and whenever they were asked for by the MCD, it was added.

MCD had alleged that it could not seal properties at three places because police force was not made available and at another place as the force was not adequate.

At yet another place, four properties could be sealed but police force was inadequate, it claimed.

While at another place, police personnel were made available only at 1500 hrs, at another force was not available after 1200 hrs.

Meanwhile, many protestors, including Deputy Leader of Opposition in MCD O S Thapar, were detained for obstructing authorities from carrying out the sealing drive near the Ring Road in West Delhi. The demonstrators were later released.
