C'garh Govt likely to appoint K P S Gill as security advisor
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 29 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Government is likely to appoint former Punjab Director General of Police K P S Gill as security advisor, highly-placed official sources said today.
The state government is considering to appoint Mr Gill in view of his success in the fight against terrorism in Punjab.
Naxalites had stepped up violence in the tribal areas of Bastar during the last six months after the local people, with the support of mainstream political parties, launched 'Salwa Judum', an anti-naxalite movement.
