Assembly adjourned sine die: Mulayam
Lucknow, Mar 29: The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly was today adjourned sine die after holding 23 sittings during the last four months.
Chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav assured the members that his government would convene the next session very soon so that the traditional Governor's address could be held.
The present session which started on November 21,2005, passed the budgetary proposals for the year 2006-07 and adopted controversial bills, including MLAs' disqualification amendment and changing the status of the UP Development Council as an autonomous body.
