4 of family killed in accident

Allahabad, Mar 29 (UNI) Four people were killed and nine others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a MUV and a truck near Jari Bazar in Kaundhiara area here today.

Police said the victims -- residents of Chaurhat village in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh -- were on their way to Allahabad, The Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) driver while trying to overtake apparently lost control behind the wheels and rammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction.

While, three passengers died on the spot, another succumbed at the hospital. The condition of some of the injured was stated critical.

Meanwhile, the victims' family members had been informed.
