Minorityism has become alive under the UPA: RSS

Indore, Mar 28 (UNI) RSS member Ram Madhav today alleged that ''minorityism'' had been revived by the UPA government at the Centre and warned that this would promote separatism and terrorism.

Mr Madhav told reporters here today that ''minorityism'' was vote-bank politics and promoted fundamentalism, which posed serious threat to the unity of country.

On Congress President Sonia Gandhi's resignation over the office of profit issue, he said the RSS was not concerned with the matter.

However, he said, talking about sacrifice after making a mistake was beyond understanding.

Regarding support to expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti's new party, Mr Madhav said the RSS supported only the BJP.

He informed that centenary celebrations of RSS founder Guru Golwalkar will start this month and continue up to February next year.

Mr Madhav said the RSS had 51,000 branches at present. A target had been set to raise the number to 70,000 this year.

He added that the RSS had been working towards establishing communal harmony and will continue to do so.
