BJP suspends 7 party legislators

Lucknow, Mar 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh BJP president Keshri Nath Tripathi tonight suspended seven party legislators for violating party whip on today's Rajya Sabha elections in the state.

The suspended legislators are: Ganga Baksh Singh (Unnao), Phagu Chauhan (Mau), Amarjit Singh Jansewak (Fatehpur), Ram Prasad Chaudhary (Basti), Chhote Lal Verma (Agra), Badshah Singh (Hamirpur) and Pooran Singh Bundela (Lalitpur).

Meanwhile, the BJP was also set to expel suspended party legislator from Moradabad, Sandeep Agarwal.

Party's media in charge Narendra Singh Rana said here that the BJP was committed to upholding discipline at every cost.
