Workshop on wildlife rehabilitation starts in AP

Visakhapatnam, Mar 27 (UNI) A workshop on wildlife rehabilitation in Eastern Ghats, organised by Wildlife Training Institute of India (WTI), began here today.

In his address, Vizag Zoo Curator B Vijaya Kumar said due to habitat loss, wild animals were forced to stray into human abodes disturbing the delicate balance between human and wildlife existence.

The workshop is being held exclusively for wildlife rehabilitation in Eastern Ghats covering coastal States like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Orissa and West Bengal.

More than 90 people active in the field of wildlife conservation were participating.
