Chennai, Mar 27: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Kerala and isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamilnadu. Dry weather prevailed over north Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

Kanyakumari recorded 5 cm rainfall.

On sunday the maximum temperature rose at a few places over south coastal Andhrapradesh , at one or two places over Rayalaseema and changed little elsewhere over the region.

Ananthapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 dg c in the region.

The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala, rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema,north coastal Andhrapradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

Belgaum airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19 dg c in the plains of the region.

Weather Forecast valid until wednesday morning: Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamilnadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep and mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamilnadu , Pondicherry, Andhrapradesh and Karnataka.
