Uttaranchal govt passes Vote of Account in Assembly

Dehradun, Mar 27 (UNI) The Uttaranchal Assembly passed a Vote of Account of Rs 910,45,47,000 for one month today.

Chief Minister N D Tiwari had presented the Vote of Account in the morning session, while presenting the 2006-07 budget.

However, Prakash Pant (BJP) protested the move, saying the Congress government had been presenting a vote of Account for five years instead of a real budget ''It is encouraging a wrong tradition. It should be ceased forthwith,''he said.
