US blue chips slip at open amid caution over rates
NEW YORK, Mar 27 (Reuters) U.S. blue-chip stocks slipped at the open on Monday as investors cautiously awaited the release of the Federal Reserve's policy statement on Tuesday to glean clues about when the central bank may stop raising interest rates.
Technology shares were little changed.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 17.04 points, or 0.15 per cent, at 11,262.93. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was down 1.42 points, or 0.11 per cent, at 1,301.53. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 2.73 points, or 0.12 per cent, at 2,315.55.
