Tussle between two ACB officers reaches court
Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) A cold war between two anti-corruption bureau (ACB) officers, who are investigating the MPSC examination scam, has reached the court with both of them filing petition and counter petition against each other.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vishnu Shinde has filed an application, which came before Additional Sessions Judge S P Mahajan, seeking permission for search of the office premises of Mr Sudhakar Poojari, the officer who is investigating the multi-crore MPSC (Maharashtra Public Service Commission) examination scandal of 1999.
Mr Shinde, who is investigating Lohar brothers' case, has said in application that Mr Poojari was not providing original documents pertaining to the same.
Mr Poojari responded by filing a counter petition praying for the prosecution of Mr Shinde under section 218 (forgery) of IPC. He alleged that Mr Shinde wanted to prepare forged documents to help the accused persons.
The hearing has been adjourned till April 3.
