Turkish Airlines to operate daily flights from India
New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) In addition to four flights a week from Delhi to Istanbul, Turkish Airlines will now commence a three times weekly service to Mumbai.
The airline is strengthening its operations in India with seven flights a week from Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul with further connections to over 100 cities in Europe, the United States, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Far East and the Middle East.
The service will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from Delhi and on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from Mumbai.
Turkish Airlines will be operating Airbus A313 on the sectors.
With this, the overall capacity will increase by close to 45 per cent to a total of 1,470 seats per week.
Mr Halil Yorulmazer, airline's general manager for India region said, ''There has been a growing demand for leisure and business travel to Turkey since we launched operations out of Delhi. The additional services have been introduced to meet this demand and give daily options to our customers in India.'' Turkish Airlines has a fleet of over 81 aircraft and operates out of more than 100 destinations across the globe. It is represented in India by InterGlobe Air Transport.
