TMK does the flip act, to support DMK

Chennai, Mar 27 (UNI) Tamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (TMK) led by Dalit leader John Pandian today said his party would support the DMK led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) in the May eight Assembly elections.

In a statement here, Mr Pandian said his party would strengthen the hands of DMK President M Karunanidhi in his endeavour to remove the "anti-people" Jayalalithaa regime.

Mr Pandian was in the AIADMK camp in the last elections and had unsuccessfuly contested from Egmore in the city. He had lost to DMK candidate Parithi Ilamvazhuthi by a narrow margin.
