Third day of NZ-Windies test a washout
WELLINGTON, Mar 27 (Reuters) The third day of the third and final test between New Zealand and West Indies was washed out without a ball being bowled today.
Umpires Mark Benson and Ian Howell inspected the Napier outfield at 12.30 local time and decided soon after that no play would be possible due to the waterlogged conditions following heavy overnight rain.
West Indies were to resume on 256 for four in their first innings with Runako Morton unbeaten on 70 and Dwayne Bravo not out 22.
The first two days were also badly interrupted by the weather with less than 80 overs completed.
New Zealand have an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after winning the first test in Auckland by 27 runs then the second in Wellington by 10 wickets.
