SWR to operate 5 special trains

Bangalore, Mar 27 (UNI) South Western Railway (SWR) will run five special trains from rere connecting the city with Ernakulam, Nagercoil, Chennai, Hubli and Tatanagar, to clear the extra rush of passengers during the coming summer vacations.

A SWR release here today said the Bangalore City-Ernakulam- Bangalore City tri-weekly superfast express special (train no.637/638) would leave Bangalore on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1715 hrs and reach Ernakulam at 0430 hrs the next day. On the return journey, it will leave Ernakulam at 1700 hrs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive here at 0415 hrs the next day.

The service would run from April 16 to June 30.

The Bangalore-Madurai-Nagercoil-Bangalore tri-weekly special (train no.647/648) would leave Bangalore at 1745 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and reach Nagercoil at 1000 hrs the next day and return on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 1530 hrs. The special would run between April 15 and June 29, the release said.

The Bangalore City-Chennai-Bangalore City express weekly special (train no.684/683) would leave on Fridays at 2130 hrs and reach Chennai at 0355 hrs the next day. On the return, it would leave Chennai at 2130 hrs on Sundays and reach here at 0515 hrs, from April 14 to June 23.

The Bangalore City-Hubli-Bangalore City weekly express special (train no.689/690) would depart on Fridays at 2300 hrs and reach Hubli at 0710 hrs the next day, and return on Sundays at 2250 hrs.The serie will run between April seven and June 30.

The Tatanagar-Yesvantpur-Tatanagar weekly special (train no.889/890) would leave Tatanagar on Fridays at 1430 hrs and reach Yesvantpur at 0615 hrs on Sundays. On its way back, the train would leave Yesvantpur on Mondays at 0745 hrs and arrive at Tatanagar at 2030 hrs on Tuesdays. The special would run between April 21 and June 30, the release said.
