Suicide bomber killed 40 in blast in Iraq's Mosul

MOSUL, Iraq, Mar 27 (Reuters) Iraq's Defence Ministry said today that a blast in the northern city of Mosul was carried out by a suicide bomber who killed 40 people in an attack on army recruits.

A ministry statement said 30 people were also wounded in the attack on a crowd of recruits who were attempting to join the Iraqi army.
