Student's death: Case against 2 teachers

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Mar 27 (UNI) Police registered a case against two teachers of a school at Tiruvanam here in connection with the death of a student.

Police today said the seventh standard student was reportedly assaulted by the teachers last week after he was suspected to have stolen Rs ten from a classmate.

The boy then took ill and was admitted to the Government Hospital at Pudukottai where he breathed his last.

His father preferred a complaint with the police.
