PMC legislator joins AIADMK

Chennai, Mar 27 (UNI) Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC) leader and legislator V Omalingam has joined the AIADMK, a party release said today.

Mr Omalingam, representing Kottucherry constituency in Karaikal district of Pondicherry, called on AIADMK General Secretary Ms Jayalalithaa at her residence yesterday evening and gained the party.

AIADMK's Pondicherry State Secretary A Anbalagan was also present on the occasion, the release added.

The AIADMK has forged an alliance with the PMC for the ensuing Assembly elections in Pondicherry and had allotted ten seats to the PMC.
