Ningbo delegation to promote business ventures in India

Kolkata, Mar 27 (UNI) A delegation from Ningbo, situated next to East China Sea, Shanghai and Hangzhou, today invited Indian business ventures in electrical appliances, chemical, garment, IT and heavy industries sectors.

The chemical industry contributed around 40 per cent, while the garment (24 per cent) and IT and heavy industries (36 per cent) towards the total business of the area, Ningbo Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation Bureau vice-director Li Xinhua told Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) members.

The Ningbo Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation Bureau entered into an agreement with Indian Chamber of Commerce for promotion of trade between the two countries.

The city, having the 17th largest port in the world, has registered foreign trade of USD 33.47 billion in 2005.
