New office bearers of Agartala Press Club

Agartala, Mar 27 (UNI) Mr Sujit Chakraborty of United News of India (UNI) and Mr Pranab Sarkar of Manush Patrika, a local daily, were elected President and Secretary respectively of the Agartala Press Club for the term 2006-2008.

The two were elected in the biennial general body conference of the Club held here last night.

The other office bearers, who were also elected, were Vice-President--Mr Sanjit Debnath (Tapas), Assistant Secretaries-- Mr Biswendu Bhattacharjee and Mr Saraju Chakraborty, Treasurer Raj Kumar Kalyanjit Singh, Executive Members -- Mr Pinaki Das, Tapas Deb, Smti Chandana Bhadra, Suman Bhattacharjee and Pinto Lal Dey.
