Mind Tree signs MoU with Orissa govt for Development Centre
Bhubaneswar, Mar 27 (UNI) Mind Tree Consulting Private Limited, a leading international IT company today signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the Orissa government to establish a Development centre in the state capital.
The MoU was signed between Mind Tree Chief Operating Officer Subrata Bagchi and IT Department Secretary S N Tripathy in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Information technology Minister S N Patra.
Official sources said the Mind Tree would be given nearly 30 acres of land in the Info City to start construction work within the next financial year.
The Development Centre is likely to come up within a period of 12-18 months and employ nearly 1000 software professionals within a period of two years.
The Company has a long term plan of employing 5000 software professionals in the Bhubaneswar centre.
Bhubaneswar has achieved the distinction of the only state capital in Eastern India to have big four IT companies- Infosys, Satyam, TCS and Wipro.
Sources said other major IT companies like Hexaware Technologies and Ramtech Systems have also finalised their plan to start operation in Bhubaneswar soon.
