Medical coaching to BC students

Bhopal, Mar 27 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government is conducting a pre-examination coaching scheme for Backward Classes' students and the facility is being extended for preparation for entrance tests in medical, agriculture and engineering colleges.

The two-and-a-half-months' training is provided at divisional headquarters by experienced teachers and subject specialists of government science colleges and an arrangement is in place for coaching a maximum 120 candidates in each district, an official release said here yesterday.

Bonafide residents of Madhya Pradesh, who secured at least 60 per cent marks in the 11th standard exam, are eligible. Besides, annual income of a candidate's family should not exceed Rs 25,000.

Applications are invited through advertisements in local newspapers. The collector, along with the departmental assistant commissioner and district convenors, are authorised to accord sanction for the training. The assistant commissioners and district convenors of the department and the colleges' principals may be contacted for details, the release added.
