LIC Pensioners Assn seeks neutralisation of DA to pensioners

Coimbatore, Mar 27 (UNI) A meeting of the executive committee of LIC Pensioners Association today sought cent per cent neutralisation be given to all pensioners in respect of Dearness Allowance.

The meeting held under the leadership of president R Krishnamachari also demanded that the ex-gratia being paid to those who retired before January one 1986, be increased considerably.

After the death of the retiree, the ex-gratia should be paid to the first beneficiary.

The meeting also demanded that increased gratuity be paid as in the case of Central government employees for those pensioners, who retired between April one 1995 and September 24, 1997.
