Infosys signs MoU with AP Govt.

Hyderabad, Mar 27 (UNI) Infosys technologies today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Government to expand its business activities to the tune of Rs 1250 crore as part of the second phase programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Infosys Chairman and Chief Mentor N R Narayana Murthy said ''we intend to invest Rs 1250 crore in the next ten years to create a new state-of-the-art campus in the pearl city''.

He said ''Infosys plans to invest Rs 450 crores in the first phase of the project and Rs 400 crores each in the second and third phase of the project'', to generate employment for 25000 software professionals over a ten year time frame.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Infosys Chief Financial Officer and Director T V Mohan Das Pai, State IT Secretary Rathnaprabha were also present in the programme.
