India-Pak youth cricket series tied 2-2

Lucknow, Mar 27 (UNI) Down at 2-0 in the Deep Fire Youth Cricket Trophy, Lahore's Youngsters Cricket Club (YCC) came from behind and levelled the series at 2-2 winning two matches in a row against Lucknow Cricket Academy (LCA).

In the fourth encounter, YCC beat LCA by four wickets at Railway Stadium here today. The final of the five-match series will be played at Unnao tomorrow.

The match started late due to wet pitch and stipulated 40 overs were curtailed to 30.

Chasing a target of 188, Lahore boys touched it sparing nine balls.

For visitors, Faizal Mahmood (56), who was later declared man-of -the-match for his all-round performance, gave a solid foundation to his team. He alongwith Asim Abbas yeilded 63 runs for the third wicket.

Thereafter, Asim Khurshid and Nadeem Jafar contributed 60 runs in 53 ball for a fifth wicket partnership.

Earlier, LCA batting first scored 187 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Saurabh Dubey and A Naqvi gave a flying start to the hosts scoring 77 runs in 70 balls for the first wicket.

In his 68 runs, Saurabh cracked 11 hits to the fence and two mighty sixes. Later, Nadeem Mehdi(28) and Abhish Yadav (26*) also played well.

For Lahore, Faizal Mahmood (3/18) and Nadeem jafar (2/28) were the successful bowlers. Three of the LCA batsmen ran themselves out in quest of quick runs.
