HC issues notice to V K Malhotra for holding office of profit
New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) Delhi High Court today issued notices to BJP leader V K Malhotra, Election Commision and Union of India, on a petition alleging that he was holding a post of profit in contravention to law.
Justice Vikramjit Sen asked the respondents to file the replies by April 4.
According to the petition, Mr Malhotra was heading a sports body when he was a cabinet minister in the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
The petition alleged that he did not revealed the fact at the time of filing his nomination for the Lok Sabha seat during the last general elections.
