HC defers hearing by a week

Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) Bombay High Court today deferred by a week, the hearing in the bail application of Mulund blast accused Arif Hussain Paanwala as his counsel failed to appear before a division bench comprising Justice D G Deshpande and Justice V K Tahiramani.

Paanwala, who has been booked under the POTA Act, had moved the bail plea last month.

While moving the application, his counsel had urged the court for grant of bail on the grounds that the provisions of the stringent act were wrongly applied on him.
