Four killed, 35 injured in road mishap

Moga, Mar 27 (UNI) Four people including a two-year-old child, were killed and 35 others injured when the private bus in which they were travelling collided with a tree near Samalsar village in the district today.

Police said the driver of the ill-fated bus lost control while overtaking another private bus as a result the vehicle hit a tree. The bus was on its way to Kot Kapura.

While a woman identified as Gurdev Kaur died on the spot, the other three including the child died while on the way to the civil hospital here. One other victim was identified as Makhan Singh of Malout.

The injured were admitted to various hospitals in the town.
