Former Bank manager sentenced
Patna, Mar 27 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Ramanand Sharma today awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment to two people, including a former manager of a nationalised Bank, in a corruption case.
Former manager of Maheshkhunt branch of State Bank of India in Khagaria district S N Jha and supplier of pumping sets Ganesh Prasad Chaudhary were found guilty by the designated judge under various sections of Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruptions Act.
According to the charges, wrongful loss to the tune of lakhs of rupees was committed by the convicts to the Bank in granting fake loans on the basis of fabricated documents.
