New Delhi, Mar 27(UNI) The Supreme Court today directed the Union Urban Development Ministry and Delhi Administration to file affidavits within two weeks giving details whether land has been allotted and funds have been sanctioned for building family courts in Delhi.

A bench comprising Mr. Justice Ashok Bhan and Mr. Justice Lokeshwar Singh Panta also wanted to know from the state when the construction of family courts would start.

Earlier the court was informed that possession of four plots had already been given to the Delhi high court for the purpose.

When told that one bungalow was in possession of the speaker of Delhi state assembly the apex court made it clear that it would not allow anybody to come in the way of construction of family courts and ''you would have to make alternative arrangements for him.'' The bungalow is in Rouse Avenue at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg.
