DD serial on World Theatre Day

New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) Doordarshan is celebrating the World Theatre Day this year by telecasting a special serial 'Theatre Around The World' from tonight over its channel DD Bharati.

The serial is aimed at throwing open more possibilities and for theatre artists and helping them for better understanding of the theatre around the world.

The serial presents many new ideas, concepts, thoughts, opinions techniques, information, styles, uses and application of theatre.

It has been filmed in several countries including USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Finland etc and also in several parts of India including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata etc.

The first two parts of the serial, to be telcast today tomorrow at 2100 hrs are dedicated to the World Theatre Day, celebrated around the world on this day.

In near future, the TV serial would also present short programmes separately on American Theatre , European Theatre and Asian Theatre, a press release said.
