Court summons details over assault on witness in Ayodhya case

Lucknow, Mar 27 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today summoned details from the police on the action taken over assault on a witness in the civil suit in the Ayodhya case.

The order was passed by the special full bench comprising Justices S R Alam, Bhanwar Singh and O P Srivastava.

According to the petition, the witness -- R C Thukral -- was beaten up by some persons outside the court premises.

A case was later registered at the Wazirganj police station in this regard.

Meanwhile, the court fixed March 31 for the filing of details.
