CM directs tight security at Fatorda for 3rd ODI

Panaji, Mar 27 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane has directed Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) officials to tighten security by deploying private security personnel in and around the Fatorda Stadium, which will host the third India-England ODI on April 3.

Mr Rane, who visited the Fatorda Stadium this evening, went around the stadium and inspected the pitch and dressing rooms, and expressed satisfaction over the work being done by SAG under the supervision of its executive director V M Prabhudesai.

The Chief Minister also viewed the new equipments purchased by the SAG like the super soaker, bowling machine, remote-controlled sight screen and close circuit television cameras.

Almost all the tickets for the Goa ODI, meanwhile, have been sold out. Only 270 tickets of Rs 2,000 remain to be sold, Syndicate Bank Regional Manager V J Kumar informed.
