Centurion Bank of Punjab sells 4 cr shares at Rs 24.50/share

Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) The trustees of the Centurion Bank stock trust today sold four crore shares of the bank on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at the rate of Rs 24.50 per share.

The transaction was done through Ambit Capital Private Limited.

Centurion Bank of Punjab is the sole beneficiary of this trust, a release issued here today said.

''The gains arising from the sale would be used by the bank primarily for purposes of prudential provisioning on its asset book so as to further strengthen its balance sheet,'' the release added.
