Bomb explodes at US-Iraq base in Mosul

Mosul (Iraq), Mar 27: A bomb exploded inside a joint U S-Iraq base in Mosul today (Mar 27, 2006) and many people were feared dead, Interior Ministry sources said.

The sources said the explosion targeted Iraqi army recruits.

One Interior Ministry source said the attack may have been carried out by a suicide bomber strapped with explosives but it was not immediately possible to verify this.
