Bogus organisation collects funds for providing houses

Hyderabad, Mar 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today informed the state assembly that an organisation under the name of Rural Resource Research Development Agency (RRRDA) has collected huge amounts from many people to construct houses.

In a written reply to a question by Devineni Rajasekhar and K Partha Sarathy of the Congress, the Minister said a case has been registered by the Krishna Lanka police of Vijayawada City against one Ramesh Kumar of Kavali, Nellore district.

He said Ramesh Kumar, who was responsible for collection of huge amounts in the name of construction of houses under the RRRDA scheme, was arrested.

The Minister said another case was also registered in Enkoor police station of Khammam district. The case was under investigation and police were seeking legal opinion.
