BJP to announce candidates in two days

Kozhikode, Mar 27 (UNI) The central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will announce party candidates for April-May Assembly election in Kerala in two days, state unit president P S Sreedharan Pillai today said.

The list, to be released in two phases, would give adequate representaton to minorities, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, he told a press conference here.

He said the party had already announced its resolve to contest all the 140 assembly seats in the state.

Reiterating the party's hope to open its account in the assembly this time, he said the Sangh Parivar would face the electoral battle unitedly to achieve the goal.

He denied reports in a section of the media regarding a party rebel's plan to file nominataion against official candidate and former Union Minister O Rajagopal in Palakkad seat.
