6 govt employees booked for assaulting, robbing journalists
Pratapgarh, Mar 27 (UNI) Police today booked six Uttar Pradesh transport department employees for assaulting and robbing two journalists in the district on Saturday.
The accused included assistant transport manager R C Srivastava, roadways bus conductor Shiv Narain and driver Bhupendra.
The two journalists -- a personnel of the electronic media and a press photographer -- had visited the transport office to lodge a complaint against the driver and conductor.
They were allegedly assaulted and robbed of valuables.
