YSR inaugurates institute

Hyderabad, Mar 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today inaugurated AP Fire Service and Home Guards Training Institute and model fire station, constructed on public-private partnership.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Reddy asked the Fire Services and Home Guards Department to improve efficiency in delivering services to the people.

He also emphasised on the need for imparting regular training to fresh candidates.

Dr Reddy also said the government was taking steps to provide decent compensation to farmers whose lands were taken over by it for construction the government officies.
