Three murder accused escape

Kannur, Kerala, Mar 26 (UNI) Three accused in a murder case escaped from police custody here today.

According to police, six people accused in a murder case in Kochi were arrested in Goa and were being brought back to Kochi in two vehicles led by Kochi Hill Palace police station Circle Inspector Sijo Alexander.

The three accused, who were in a van requested the escorting police party to stop the vehicle to answer nature's call and later escaped under the cover of darkness. The incident took place at Muzhappilangad under Edakkad police station.

The three were identified as Jaison Antony (31), Mohammed Ali (21) and Shibu (25).

Edakkad police have registered a case.
