Surat Cricket Association begins talent hunt for bowlers

Surat, March 26 (UNI) Surat District Cricket Association (SDCA) is in search for more Munaf Patels who can showcase their splendid bowling talents in test cricket.

Association secretary Hanif Patel today told UNI that the Association will begin a talent hunt in the coming days in the small towns like Uchchal, Olpad and Vyara to find out good bowlers who would be given special training.

''We have appointed a new coach Bhavik Patel who has played 25 Ranji matches and he will select and train the bowlers in the SDCA Academy,'' said Hanif Patel.

SDCA will go goes into the interior parts of the district to find out good bowlers because SDCA thinks bowlers from the interior areas have lot of power and good pace, he added.

The selected players would be given special training by the SDCA in vacations and the best names will be recommended to the State Cricket Selection Team, said Mr Patel.
