Sharma expresses concern over degradation of forest in J

Jammu, Mar 26 (UNI) Expressing concern over the degradation of forests in Jammu and Kashmir, Transport Minister Mangat Ram Sharma today called to preserve and help restoration of forests by proper plantation.

Addressing a gathering after releasing a book titled ''Elaqaa Bani Traqi Ki-Rath Per'' at a function organised by Youth Organisation Society Bani(YOSB) Kathua, Mr Sharma said the Basholi-Bani-Bhaderwah area would be developed as tourist spot as the Union government has already given its assent in this regard.

The transport minister said the Congress led state government was committed to uniform and speedy development of all far-flung and remote areas of the state.
