PM commends Indo-Pak children's pen friendship
New Delhi, Mar 26: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday (Mar 25, 2006) commended today the ongoing efforts to bring Indian and Pakistani children closer together by exchanging letters of friendship.
The first set of letters was carried to Pakistan yesterday. This novel effort is being assisted by the FriendsWithoutBorders.org people.
"This is a beautiful event, being led by the children of both the countries. It has very positive ramifications for the future of the two nations, once this generation of children grow up and take the reins of leadership in both countries," Dr Singh said.
Encouraging more children to join the movement, thanked the organisers and saluted Indian children for writing heartfelt letters of friendship to their pakistani counterparts .
