PM commends children of India, Pak for writing Letters of Friendship

New Delhi, Mar 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has commended the ongoing efforts to encourage children from India and Pakistan to write letters of friendship to each other.

Describing it as a beautiful event being led by the children of both the countries, Dr Singh said that it has very positive ramifications for the future of both the nations once this generation of children grows up and takes on the reins of leadership in both the country.

Thanking the organisers 'Friends Without Boarder.org', the Prime Minister saluted the children of India who have written heartfelt letters of friendship. The first set of such letters was carried to Pakistan on Friday.

Dr Singh encouraged more children to join this movement.
