Naxal blast kills CRPF constable
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 26 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was slain and another severely injured after naxals triggered a blast during an encounter today along the Antagarh-Narayanpur road in Kanker district.
''The rebels obstructed the road by digging it. CRPF and district police personnel reached the spot at around noon to clear the road.
The naxals opened fire and even as retaliatory firing was in progress, the explosion was set off. Constable Premjeet T was killed and Nirmalchand hurt. He is being rushed to Raipur,'' Inspector-General (Bastar Range) M W Ansari said.
