Mulayam pays floral tributes to Meher Bhargava

Lucknow, Mar 26 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today paid floral tributes to Meher Bhargava, a former lawyer and wife of Congress leader Luv Bhargava, who died yesterday at a New Delhi hospital.

Mr Yadav visited Hazratganj residence of the Bhargava's and laid floral wreath on the body of Ms Bhargava. He then shared the grief with the Bhargava family.

Bhargava was shot at and injured by one Sachin Pahadi in the busy Hazratganj area on February 28 last, when she raised a voice against lewd remarks being passed by Pahadi and his friends at her daughter-in-law.

The former lawyer, who was partially paralysed following the bullet injury, breathed last at a hospital in the national capital yesterday.
